Fachjan delivers over 10,000 plants and trees for a cruise ship

This autumn/winter 2021, Fachjan is delivering plants and trees for the cruise ship ‘The Wonder of the Seas’ on behalf of and in collaboration with Ambius Project Development North America. A 340-meter long and 66-meter wide cruise ship for 5,600 passengers and 2,400 crew members.

Since this ship will be sailing in colder regions, primarily outdoor plants are being used for the indoor garden. Species being used include Rosemary, Pittosporum, Ilex, Lavender, Taxus, Carex, Juniperus, Heuchera, Liriope, Rhododendron, and trees and shrubs such as Magnolia, Cornus, and Ginkgo biloba. More than 10,000 plants will be installed on the ship. 17 trucks full.

All plants and trees have been pre-planted in 1,400 special steel containers based on a semi-hydro system. This is now Fachjan’s third delivery of a large number of plants to a mega cruise ship. A few years ago, Fachjan also supplied plants for the ‘Harmony of the Seas’ and the ‘Symphony of the Seas’.
